For Agents

Create training projects, enroll and activate participants, issue login links, and manage users and groups across an organization's units.

Use for: I need to enroll a learner in a training project, Create a new course project for an organization unit, Generate a login link for a participant, List all users in a user group

Not supported: Does not process payments, host course video, or run marketing campaigns. Use for managing training projects, participants, and users only.

The Learnifier API manages online training programs, organization units, projects, and the learners enrolled in them. It creates and updates course projects, adds and activates participants, issues participant login links, and organizes users into groups across an organization hierarchy.

Install Jentic One Beta

Connect the Learnifier to your agent

Jentic One is a self-hosted execution layer for AI agents. It lets your agent call the Learnifier, or any other public or private API you need. You set the rules, the agent never sees your credentials, and every call is logged.

Two steps, two machines. Install the instance in a safe environment, then register your agent from wherever it runs.

1

Step 1: Jentic One Host machine

# On the machine that will host your Jentic One instance:
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Flearnifier.com%2Flearnifier" | sh
2

Step 2: Agent machine

# On the machine where your agent runs (keep this separate from the instance):
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Flearnifier.com%2Flearnifier" | sh
jentic register # connects your agent to your Jentic One instance

Jentic One is in public beta. The setup above keeps your agent separate from the instance, which is what you want before using real credentials: an agent running as the same OS user as Jentic One can read its stored keys directly. Just evaluating? A single local install is fine to start. See the secure deployment guide for the tiers.

Capabilities

What an agent can do with Learnifier API.

Create and update training projects within an organization unit

Enroll participants in a project and activate their accounts

Issue a one-time login link for a participant

Organize users into global and per-organization user groups

Look up organization units, users, and participations by external id

Use Cases

Patterns agents use Learnifier API for, with concrete tasks.

★ Agent-managed learner onboarding through Jentic

An AI agent handling new-hire onboarding can create a training project, enroll the new employee, and issue their login link. Through Jentic the agent discovers each operation by intent and loads its input schema, so the whole enrollment flow runs without hand-wiring the Learnifier endpoints.

Search Jentic for 'enroll a participant', create a project under an organization unit, add the participant, and generate their login link.

Bulk participant enrollment for a cohort

Enroll an entire cohort into a training project and activate their accounts in one pass. Learnifier ties participants to a project within an organization unit, so cohorts stay scoped to the right org and program.

Add each learner in a cohort to a project's participant list and activate the newly added participants.

Directory sync from an external HR system

Keep Learnifier users and organization units in step with an external HR system by matching on external ids. The API looks up organization units, users, and participations by their external id so records reconcile without duplicate accounts.

Look up a user by external id, then update their profile and group membership to match the HR record.

Key Endpoints

34 endpoints — the learnifier api manages online training programs, organization units, projects, and the learners enrolled in them.

Why Jentic?

What agents get from Jentic-routed access to this vendor.

Setup

Wiring Learnifier by hand means passing its API key and threading the organization, project, and participant hierarchy through every call yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import Learnifier from the API Directory, store the key once, and your agent calls it.

Permission scoping

Learnifier puts the organization id in the URL path, so a rule can pin your agent to one organization unit and its projects. You choose the operations it may call, such as creating projects and enrolling participants, so removing user-group members is not included unless you add it.

Credential isolation

Your Learnifier API key is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.

Intent-based discovery

Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'enroll a participant' or 'create a training project', and Jentic returns the matching Learnifier operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.

FAQs

Specific to using Learnifier API through Jentic.

What authentication does Learnifier use?

The Learnifier API is called with an API key per its OpenAPI spec. Through Jentic the key is stored encrypted by your own Jentic One instance and injected at request time, so your agent never handles it directly.

Is there a Learnifier API MCP server?

You don't need an MCP server to give your agent the Learnifier API. Jentic connects it directly from the API Directory: import it, store your credential once, and your agent calls it on demand without loading another server's tool definitions into its context.

Can I enroll participants with the Learnifier API?

Yes. Add a participant to a project's participant list under an organization unit, activate their account, and issue a one-time login link so they can start the course.

What are the rate limits for the Learnifier API?

The OpenAPI spec does not specify rate limits. Check the Learnifier documentation at https://learnifier.com for current limits before running bulk enrollment.

Can I limit what my agent is allowed to do with the Learnifier API?

Yes. Learnifier puts the organization id in the URL path, so a rule can pin your agent to one organization unit and the enrollment operations it needs, while withholding user-deletion operations unless you add them. Every call it makes is logged.

How do I enroll a learner with the Learnifier API through Jentic?

Search Jentic for 'enroll a participant', load the add-participant operation, and pass the organization, project, and learner details. Jentic injects your key and calls the endpoint. To run it on your own infrastructure, install Jentic One from its GitHub repo.
